How to make one
Three steps, about a minute
- Choose ContactOpen the studio. The contact code is already selected.
- Add your detailsName, company, job title, phone numbers, email, website and address: fill in only what you want people to save.
- Design and printKeep the “Save my contact” frame or change it, then download an SVG or print-ready PDF for your printer.
Two kinds of contact code
Static vCard (free, no account): your details are stored inside the code in the standard vCard format, and scanning offers to add them to Contacts. It works forever, but can’t be changed after printing, and the more you add, the denser the code gets.
Dynamic contact page (1 dynamic code free with an account): the code opens a mobile page with your photo, your details and a “Save contact” button. The code stays small and easy to scan however much you add, and when your number or job changes, you update the page instead of reprinting your cards.
Printing on a business card
- Size: at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide. A static vCard with lots of details needs more.
- Keep it lean: for a static code, a name, one phone number, an email and a website is plenty.
- Order a proof and scan it with a couple of phones before printing the whole box.
Questions
The things people ask most.
What is a vCard?
A standard format for contact details (.vcf files) that phones and email apps understand. A vCard QR code contains that card, so phones can save it directly.
Will it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The iPhone Camera app and most Android cameras or Google Lens offer to add the contact.
Can I change my details after printing?
With the dynamic contact page, yes. A static vCard code holds the details themselves, so a change means a new code.
Is my information private?
A static code is made in your browser and only stored if you save it to an account. A contact page is public by design, so only add what you’re happy for anyone who scans it to see.
