Terms of Service
Last updated October 20, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Quiet Zone QR LLC (“we”, “us”), who run Quiet Zone QR at quietzoneqr.com. They cover the studio, the short links and pages behind dynamic codes. By creating an account or using Quiet Zone QR you accept them.
The short version
- Static codes are free, need no account and keep working forever: their content is inside the code.
- Dynamic codes use a short link on our domain. They keep working as long as your account exists, and we never give a short link to anyone else.
- No phishing, scams, malware, spam or anything illegal. We check, and we switch off codes that break the rules.
- Scan every code with a phone before you print it.

1. The service
Quiet Zone QR lets you design QR codes, save them, and, for dynamic codes, change what they open after they are printed.
- Static codes hold their content (a web address, Wi‑Fi details, a contact card and so on) inside the code itself. They are made in your browser, work without an account, and keep working without us: we cannot change them or switch them off.
- Dynamic codes hold a short link on our domain, such as quietzoneqr.com/k3x9p2. Scanning one asks our server where to go, so you can change the destination or the page it shows at any time. They depend on Quiet Zone QR and our domain to keep working.
- Accounts also get scan statistics, landing pages (link pages, menus, contact cards, coupons, events and others) and uploads for those pages.
We keep improving the service and may change or remove features. If a change takes away something important from a plan you have paid for, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current billing period.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you use Quiet Zone QR for an organization, you accept these terms for it and confirm that you are allowed to.
- Use an email address you check. We send confirmation, security and service messages there.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else got in, reset your password and tell us at hello@quietzoneqr.com.
- Don’t open extra accounts to get around a limit or a suspension.
3. Your content
“Your content” means everything you put into Quiet Zone QR: names, links, text, contact details, images, PDFs and designs.
- You own your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, process and display it, only as needed to run Quiet Zone QR: to show your pages and send people to your links when they scan, to keep backups, and to check for abuse. The permission ends when you delete the content, apart from backup copies, which expire on their own (see the Privacy Policy).
- You are responsible for your content and for where your codes lead, and you confirm that you have the rights to what you upload, such as logos, photos and menus, and that you may publish any personal information you put on a page (for example a colleague’s contact card).
- We don’t review content before it goes live. We do check destinations automatically, and we look at content when it is reported.
4. Acceptable use
Follow the acceptable use rules, which are part of these terms: no phishing, scams, malware, spam, illegal content, impersonation, or hiding where a link really goes. Also, don’t:
- try to get into other people’s accounts or into our systems, or probe, overload or scrape the service;
- get around limits, plan limits or the safety checks, or create accounts automatically;
- use Quiet Zone QR to run a link-shortening or QR code service for others.
When the rules are broken we may pause or switch off codes, remove content, and suspend or close accounts. We normally tell you by email what we did and why, and you can ask us to look again by replying or writing to hello@quietzoneqr.com. When people are at risk, for example from phishing, we act first and tell you afterwards.
Anyone can report a code from the link at the bottom of its page, or by adding a + to the end of its short link.
5. Short links and keeping codes working
- A dynamic code’s short link never changes for as long as the code exists.
- We never give a short link to anyone else, even after its code or your account is deleted. Printed copies of a deleted code stop working; they will never open someone else’s content.
- Your dynamic codes keep working as long as your account exists, unless you pause or delete them, we switch them off for breaking the rules, or the service closes.
- If we ever decide to close Quiet Zone QR, we will email you at least 90 days before, and you will be able to download your codes and their destinations during that time.
6. Prices
Quiet Zone QR is free to use at the moment. If we introduce paid plans, we will update these terms and tell account holders before anything is charged, and existing codes will keep working.
7. No guarantees
- We work hard to keep Quiet Zone QR running and your codes scanning, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Maintenance, outages and problems with networks, phones and other companies’ services happen.
- Test every code before you print it. Whether a code scans depends on its design, size, print quality and the camera reading it. The studio checks each code, but scan every code with more than one phone before you print or publish it. We are not responsible for the cost of printing or reprinting.
- The websites your codes lead to belong to others. We are not responsible for them.
- To the extent the law allows, Quiet Zone QR is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
8. Limits on liability
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for printing costs, even if we were told they might happen.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims relating to Quiet Zone QR is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
9. If someone makes a claim about your content
If you use Quiet Zone QR for business and someone makes a claim against us about your content or your breach of these terms or the law, you will cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees. We will tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in handling it.
10. Ending your use
- You can stop using Quiet Zone QR at any time and delete your account in the studio (your email address → Delete account). This deletes your codes, uploads and statistics, stops your dynamic codes from opening anything.
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect people from harm. We will tell you why unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it.
- What these terms say about your content, payments, guarantees, liability, claims, law and disputes continues to apply after your account ends.
11. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on Quiet Zone QR infringes your copyright, write to hello@quietzoneqr.com with:
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- the work you believe is infringed;
- the short link or page where the material appears;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
We will remove or disable the material and tell the account holder, who may send a counter-notice to the same address. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we will email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect, unless a change is needed sooner for legal, security or abuse reasons. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using Quiet Zone QR after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree with them, you can delete your account before then.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes about them. If you are a consumer living somewhere else, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in its courts.
Before going to court, please write to hello@quietzoneqr.com and give us 30 days to put things right. Most problems are solved that way.
14. General
- These terms, the acceptable use rules and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Quiet Zone QR.
- If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our agreement. We may transfer them to whoever takes over Quiet Zone QR, and will tell you if we do; the promises about short links go with them.
- We send notices to the email address on your account. Send yours to hello@quietzoneqr.com.
- No one else has rights under these terms.
